Back pain affects people of all ages, from adolescents to the elderly. It's not just about aging. It's about how we live and breath and move. The good news is that extensive studies have shown that yoga can help with chronic and periodic back pain and can even lead to a reduction in the use of medication to treat back pain. If practiced regularly, yoga is also a great preventative measure against developing back pain.
I'm excited to offer a new 6-week series that focuses on yoga for a healthy back. It's accessible to all levels of practitioners (including those of you that have never done yoga before). I'll share tips and poses that you can use daily to improve and sustain your back health. After attending this series you will have a better understanding of how your spine works and movement that keeps you healthy top to bottom. More importantly, you will also have a forever practice that helps you feel less stress and pain in your back, stand taller, and feel stronger and more flexible!
Jen Peterson, yoga instructor and owner of Yoga Grace, will teach you the basics of healthy movement for your spine, how to address and prevent pain and injury, and tips and techniques for moving through life with integrity and care for your whole being. Suitable for all levels. $90 for 6 classes. Mondays 6:00-7:15pm at Yarn & Yoga, Bristol starting June 3rd through July 8th. Space is limited to 10 people. Register at: www.YogaGraceVT.com.
