Description:

Join us for a very special night featuring amazing Moroccan food paired with a film screening. All to support an amazing nonprofit run by local skier/activist Aaron Gould-Kavet

The Meal: Seating at 6:00 PM

We will be doing one family-style seating served in traditional Moroccan style, shared among participants and eaten with your hands (silverware provided on request). The meal will include 3 courses consisting of a traditional Moroccan pasta salad, Lamb or Vegetarian Tajine (a slow-cooked stew named for the earthenware pot that it is served in) and a white chocolate fondue for dessert. Meal is served at 6pm. Please arrive on time as everyone will be served at the same time.

The Film: Screening at 8:00 PM

The short film 'Amazigh' tells the story of Berber mountain guides, while sharing with the world the beauty and wonder of skiing and riding in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The film is 35 minutes long and will include a discussion to follow with the film-makers.

The Cause:

Partial proceeds for the meal will support Nonprofit Bou Naceur Sustainability. There will also be a silent auction and raffle to win a trip to Morocco!

Bou Naceur Sustainability is a non-profit organization in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco which is dedicated to fostering sustainable development, environmental and cultural preservation, educational opportunity, peacebuilding, and multicultural exchange between the Atlas Mountain region and the world. Rapid economic and environmental changes are driving rural people from their communities and their way of life throughout the world. We are committed to helping rural communities thrive in the Atlas region by supporting sustainable economic development and environmental stewardship, and by helping them navigate the challenges of a changing economy, climate, and world.
