Event: "Family Program at Shao Shan Temple"

"You are invited to join us for the Family Program at Shao Shan Temple this coming Saturday, March 8th from 10:15am to 11:45am (please note slightly earlier start time). Shao Shan Temple is a Soto Zen Buddhist Temple located in South Woodbury. The Family Program, which generally takes place on second Saturdays of the month (with some exceptions), offers an adult component with meditation and a discussion on mindful parenting/caregiving, as well as a children's component, including nature awareness, art and mindfulness activities and a snack. The whole group then gathers for "Temple time" at the end. All ages are welcome. Children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult to the children's portion of the program, and older children are welcome to assist as "helpers." A teen component can be added to the program if there is sufficient interest. No prior experience with Buddhism or meditation is necessary to attend.
