This Sunday you have the opportunity to watch some of your very own local music educators Jane Bouffard (Stowe High School) and Peter Schmeeckle (Stowe Music Center) take the stage as performers as well as conductors and composers. Vermont Symphonic Winds under the direction of Lisa Jablow will feature Mrs. Bouffard on flute/piccolo and guest conducting the finale of Shostakovich's famous 5th Symphony. The group will also perform Symphony No. 1 "Chess" by Peter Schmeeckle, a world premiere event of the entire work originally commissioned and partially performed in 2002. Don't miss this historic event! Tickets are $15, discounted for students and free for kids. St. Michaels College, McCarthy Hall - Sunday, April 7th at 3pm.
