This Tuesday, February 26, a presentation describing the restoration of the Old West Church steeple will be held at the Maple Corner Community Center at 7pm. Jan Lewandoski will share his experience and discoveries while rebuilding the steeple this past summer and fall, including images of the process.

Jan describes the church as, "A remarkably lovely example of vernacular design, framing and interior woodwork, it is one of the most unchanged and intact of any early 19th century meeting houses in New England." A Vermont Historic Preservation grant helped fund this restoration, along with generous gifts from neighbors near and far and proceeds from a longtime endowment.
