Second round of auditions for Oliver! at the Valley Players Theater this Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6 pm.
The show will be directed by Ruth Ann Pattee with music direction by Michael Halloran. The show dates are Friday-Sunday, October 4-20. The Tony Award-winning show is based on Charles Dickens' novel, Oliver Twist, about a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, whose journey through a London full of nefarious characters and fraught with danger ultimately leads him to the true love of a family.
Audition scripts will be available at the auditions, and audition songs will be taught. No need to prepare a monologue or song - but if you have a song you'd like to perform, time will be allowed. Please bring sheet music. Children ages 5-12 are welcome to audition but must be accompanied by a parent. There are roles for teen ans adults as well!
Rehearsals will begin in late July and will be mainly Sunday afternoons and Monday-Wednesday evenings. Not all actors will need to attend every rehearsal.
