Vermont Philharmonic 60th Anniversary Season presents "Classics & Contemporaries"
The Vermont Philharmonic presents its 2019 Winter concerts on Saturday evening, February 16 at the Elley-Long Music Center at St Michael's College at 7:30 pm, and Sunday afternoon, February 17 at the Barre Opera House at 2 pm with Lou Kosma conducting. The program includes Vermont composer Erik Nielsen's Fanfare in B flat for Orchestra, 2018 winner of the Borowicz Memorial Student Scholarship Henry Wu performing the first movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto in A Major, Lake Tyrrell in Innisfree composed in 2017 by Rufus Reid and concludes with Antonin Dvorak's 1895 Cello Concerto in B minor, op. 104 with virtuoso soloist Emily Taubl.
