6:45pm (or so): Calcutta raffle**
We'll also have DJ Raul spinning, so come ready to dance! With all of that, a 50/50 draw, plenty of desserts, and friendly faces all around, it'll be a great place to spend a winter's evening.
$80 snags one Calcutta entry -- a chance to win a $1200 jackpot or other great prizes -- and dinner for 2. (Add insurance for $10, and get a second chance in the Calcutta!)
Last year, proceeds went to our equipment fund. (And the new trailer is AWESOME!) This year, we're raising money for space -- storage, meeting, and mooring.
**Never been to a Calcutta? You're buying a ball with a number between 1 and 100. We'll draw those one by one and eliminate people from the raffle (but giving out fab parting gifts!). When we get down to ten numbers, those folks decide whether to split the $1200. When we get down to one or more people who all want to split, we hand them the wad o' cash!
There are a few other fun twists, but those are the basics. It's big fun, and we'd love you to join us. (Don't make us dance by ourselves!)
Your payment secures your Calcutta number, so if you're interested, email manager@maliaracing.com (or respond to me). The sooner the better though – after last year's fun, we expect to sell out quickly this year!
