A revised draft of the update to planBTV: Comprehensive Plan has been posted! Here are the details about how you can review and provide feedback:
1. The draft plan is online at www.burlingtonvt.gov/planbtv
This website includes the plan in two formats: as a website for online browsing, and as a PDF that can be downloaded to read off-line. You can also view the draft plan in hard copy at several sites around the city, including at the Planning & Zoning Office, Public Works Office, and the Fletcher Free Library Reference Desk.
2. Share your feedback on the draft plan
You can leave your feedback online at www.burlingtonvt.gov/planbtv and by joining one of the upcoming workshops or public hearings, noted below. You can also send your feedback to Meagan Tuttle at mtuttle@burlingtonvt.gov.
3. Attend a workshop (Feb 4) or upcoming public hearing (Feb 11)
- Monday, February 4 @ 6pm in Contois Auditorium, we will continue discussing the draft plan during this upcoming workshop. We'll be digging into the plan's action items, discussing ways to successfully implement the plan's vision.
- Monday, February 11 at 7pm in Contois Auditorium, City Council will be holding their first of two public hearings during their regular meeting. An agenda will be available the week before the meeting at https://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/Public
Over the last year, the Planning Commission has been working on the 2019 update to this plan, which is our long range plan for land use and development across the City. This plan covers topics like housing, transportation, economic development, community facilities, and energy—issues that are important to think about and plan for city-wide. The City Council will hold an additional public hearing in March. Check out the website for opportunities to hear about and provide input on the draft plan.
