Do you know about the Flood and Fluvial Erosion Hazard ordinance? It was adopted by the Selectboard in November 2018 and is being brought before the Town for a vote by Australian Ballot on whether the ordinance should be disapproved (a YES vote) or allowed to remain (a NO vote).

Yah. Counter-intuitive, I know. SO....

Please read the mailing that has probably already appeared in your box to learn about the ordinance, what it's intended to do, and why the Selectboard and Planning and Conservation Commissions support this ordinance. There's lots of important information for everyone: those who don't know anything about it, those who are opposed, and those who support it.

There will be a Community Meeting on this topic Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Guilford Central School from 6:30 to 8 pm. The agenda is on p. 5 of the mailer. Childcare is available, but REGISTRATION IN ADVANCE IS REQUIRED.
