Please join your fellow friends and bakers as we prepare and donate baked goods to the Lamoille Community Food Share, Clarina Howard Nichols Center, the Yellow House (Hyde Park's homeless shelter), and The United Community Church in Morrisville (who provide free breakfasts every weekday) THIS COMING Monday, December 17th. Hunger's Hard, Baking's Easy is a grassroot's effort that started six years ago and whose success continues to grow annually thanks to the generosity of our community.
Baked items are a rare offering at most food pantries and are especially appreciated and needed during the holidays. Pies, rolls, bread, cookies, and cakes filled two station wagons to overflowing this past Thanksgiving. Create them yourself or purchase from your local baker/grocer, both avenues are great!
Baking just not your thing? Then consider shopping for and donating breakfast items such as english muffins, pancake mix, eggs, bacon, sausage and maple syrup for the free breakfasts we support.
Drop off day is Monday, December 17th at Stowe Elementary School, Stowe High School, The Body Lounge and In Company Clothing on the Mountain Road. Please have all donations delivered by 2:00 p.m. Contact Beth Gadbois at bethg253@gmail.com or Leslie Whitaker at lwhitaker@inntopia.com for more information or see the complete details and what food items are needed at the Facebook page "Hunger's Hard, Baking's Easy." https://www.facebook.com/groups/503783089789779/
