Monday night at 6:30 is the informational meeting for the Ferrisburgh Town School District budget proposal, which will be voted by Australian ballot on Tuesday. While I personally appreciate the presence of Front Porch Forum in our community as a way to connect with our neighbors, make business referrals, find out about meetings, and so on, I believe FPF is an extremely poor way to communicate with one another about our concerns over budgets, spending plans, taxes, public education, town government, etc. The FCS school board, the VUHS school board, and the Ferrisburgh Select Board all hold monthly meetings throughout the year to which the public is invited and very much welcome. Please come and talk to your town officials in person - it's less convenient than the internet, and maybe even a little uncomfortable for some, but it's so much more effective.
