Brattleboro Constituent Energy Forum w/Legislators

Past event
Dec 3, 2018, 5:30 to 7 PM

The Brattleboro Energy Committee will be holding a moderated energy policy and legislation forum with our Brattleboro and Windham County legislators on Monday, 12/3 at 5:30 pm in room 107 (BCTV) at the Municipal Building on Main Street. The purpose of the forum is to allow you - Brattleboro constituents - to have a discussion specifically about energy policy and 2019 legislative priorities and opportunities with your representatives and senators. All have been invited and most have confirmed they will attend.

The forum will be video-recorded, and end promptly at 7 pm.

While this is a Brattleboro constituent event, everyone is welcome to attend.

A key motive for organizing this forum is our concern that energy and climate issues may have been overshadowed in recent years by many other pressing issues, but must not be neglected as Vermont pursues its climate, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other energy-related goals. There is a continuing need for policy innovation and for adjustments to the Vermont energy policies that are in place. This is a special opportunity to review what's in the works, hear about legislators' ideas and priorities, and contribute your voice to the Vermont energy policy debate.
