The Adamant Community Club will host Montpelier artist and musician Delia Robinson this Sunday (Nov. 18) at 4:00 PM for an event she is calling "Improbable Theater, Narrative Songs, and Musical Sculpture." If that doesn't intrigue you right away, here is a further note from Delia: "It's an illustrated musical talk about the creation of a new book. Slides, narrative whistles, and a 'Ballad Crankie' illuminate the shocking story of the old folk ballad 'Pretty Polly.'" (Note: the ballad contains violent imagery, and may not be suitable for children). We asked Delia to come to Adamant after hearing rave notices of this show when it was at the Jaquith Library in Marshfield last month. Admission is $7. For more info, call me at 454-7103 or email (no reservations necessary).
