Circle-Singing Workshop

Past event
Nov 11, 2018, 3 to 4:30 PM

This free workshop will be led by Jody Albright and Diane Tetrault.

Do you like to sing? Are you looking for a different group singing experience?

This group singing workshop is open to all levels of experience. Circlesinging* is easy to learn and has endless possibilities since the melodies are all made up 'in the moment'. It is a joyful way to sing together as a community without having to know how to read music. There are no mistakes!! Diane and Jody will lead the group singing and will also teach different aspects of how to create an improvised 'song' to give singers who want to lead an opportunity to do so. (There will be no pressure to lead if you don't feel ready!)

*this name is ascribed to the singer Bobby McFerrin, although 'singing in a circle' is ancient and found in many oral traditions.

Please contact the library to sign up for this workshop. Please call 802-482-2878 or email jill@carpentercarse.org
