Dear Neighbors,

This Monday, the City Council will convene its second of two meetings for the month of October.

Prior to our Council meeting, at 5pm, we will have a public information hearing on the public questions on the November 6 City ballot. The two items are the approval to issue General Obligation bonds for the Burlington High School reconstruction and renovation "Re-envision" project and the other is the approval to issue revenue bonds for the Wastewater and Stormwater Utility project.

A brief Local Control Commission meeting that will begin at 7pm. Our Council meeting will begin immediately thereafter.

We have two items on our deliberative agenda. We have an indoor entertainment permit for a new enterprise opening in Lawson Lane, Orlando's Bar and Lounge. We will also be hearing an annual report from the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission. Following Councilor committee reports, comments from Councilors and the Mayor on general City affairs, we will have an Executive Session on Collective Bargaining.

We have an appointment to the Board of Registration of Voters, a meeting to hear tax abatement requests, and a Board of Civil Authority meeting to vote on the appointment of election officials fo the upcoming election.

Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to come to a Council meeting and speak on any topic you wish during public forum. This begins at a time certain of 7:30 at every Council meeting.
