A group of Grand Isle property owners is trying to organize and follow a path similar to that taken by the Pelots Bay Restoration Association in North Hero. That Association has earned a grant from the State of Vermont that allows them full-time use of a weed harvester used in cutting back the lake weeds that encumber the shoreline around that town.
Don Weaver of the Pelots Bay Restoration Association is hosting a meeting at the Methodist Church
Fellowship Hall in North Hero this Thursday, Sept 27 at 6:30pm. Don will be sharing his group's experiences and offer advice to those of us looking to improve lake front around Grand Isle.
Parking (to the north of the County Courthouse on Route 2 in North Hero) is limited so please consider carpooling with your neighbor. Entrance to the Fellowship Hall is located in the back of the church.
If you'd like to be added to my mailing list of those interested in this lake weed clean-up initiative around Grand Isle, please send me your name and email address.
Meeting Location: Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in North Hero (entrance in back of church)
Date: Thursday, Sept 27, 2018
