Join us at the Vermont State House on Friday, February 14th to tell legislators that it is time to "break up with fossil fuels"! The event, organized by 350Vermont, will showcase citizen support for divesting the Vermont State pension fund from the top 200 fossil fuel companies. We will meet on the State House steps at noon for a picture and some divestment theatrics, followed by an educational Valentine’s card blitz and press conference inside of the State House. We encourage everyone to wear their most festive Valentine’s day attire!

This event will build on momentum from an event held on January 23rd, where college students gathered at the State House for a press conference on fossil fuel divestment. This event gained media attention at both the local and national level, and even made the front page of the Montpelier Times Argus.
