Past event
Aug 5, 2018, 6 to 8 PM

Please join us for the Songs For Hope & Peace March on Sunday, August 5th from 6-8:00 PM. Meet on Sunday at 6:00 PM at the top of Church St. at Pearl St.. We will march to the Burlington waterfront to release candle boats and sing. Children Welcome.

This anti- nuclear event is sponsored by the Peace & Justice Center. and WILPF. It is scheduled each year on the anniversaries of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear attacks. See more details: http://www.pjcvt.org/event/hiroshima-and-nagasaki-walk-and-candle-boat-remembrance/

We are joining them to highlight the threat of the F35 jets that are designed to carry nuclear bombs. Bring signs connecting the F35 jet with the nuclear threat. We will hand out flyers along the march route and at the waterfront.

Invite your friends! Make a sign of your choice and bring it along:
"F35 Jets To Carry Nuclear Bombs!"
"F35 Jets = Nukes!"
"Keep Vermont Safe: Stop the F35!"
"No Nuclear Target from F35s!"
Use any other message about F35 threats...
