Come hear local jazz vocalist, Jenni Johnson, singing 2 jazz standards, "They Can't Take That Away" and "On the Sunny Side of the Street," with the Burlington Concert Band. Also on the concert are two trumpet soloists, A.J. Banach and Conductor Larry Solt, playing "Trumpeter's Lullaby" and "The Magic Trumpet." Also on the concert are your favorite band pieces, including "Amazing Grace," "My Fair Lady," and of course "The Stars & Stripes Forever." Next week, Aug. 12 will be our final concert of the season, A Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Joseph Lechnyr Band Shell, constructed in Battery Park in 1978. Mayor Miro Weinberger will be there to announce the special observance of the Band Shell, along with former conductors of the Burlington Concert Band, going back to 1968.
