Enjoy the historic walkable village of Cambridge this coming weekend. Support local artists, find something unique and wonderful, and have fun doing it!

Take time the weekend of July 21 and 22 to visit seven artists in six locations during our sixth Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour. All of the participants live in the village of Cambridge and have been producing art for many years.

Starting on the west end of town, visit with Matt Chinian, plein air artist with many scenes of our local streets, streams and landscapes. Heading east a block, visit Elana Mark who paints local landscapes with barns, and village scenes.

Downtown you can find two artists sharing space on the Hubbard Hall Campus in the Lovejoy building (down the yellow brick road next to Country Gals Diner). Heide Merecki, working in many different mediums including encaustic wax paintings and Sara Kelly, fanciful and vivid watercolors. On Grove Street, George Van Hook will have his studio open displaying his gorgeous oil paintings and around the corner on Avenue A visit master woodcarver Gerry Holzman. The last stop on the tour is Mark Tougias, at the corner of Spring Street and North Park (Rt. 22 N) with his luscious, vibrant landscapes.

Look for our signs, and visit the website for more information about the artists and a map to their locations. www.cambridgevalleyart.org
