On Saturday August 4th, Cambridge Public Library, Salem Fish and Game Club and Mr. Howard Romack will be offering a Summer Science Enrichment Day for adults at 9:00 a.m. Seven different environmental professionals will be present throughout the day to offer programs within their areas of expertise. Mrs. Sue Van Hook is an expert mycologist who will share her knowledge of various mushrooms and fungi found in our environment. Mr. Alan Dupuis will be demonstrating mist netting and discussing how West Nile Virus is transmitted by mosquitoes. Mrs. Beth O'Grady will be sharing her expertise on environmental chemistry. Mr. Jeremy Chamberlain will be offering a falconry demonstration and Mr. Mike Bodnar will be leading a walk around nearby woods while discussing wood safety. In addition Mr. and Mrs. Henke, both outdoor columnists, will be sharing their environmental expertise throughout the day. This is a full-day event so please bring lunch or a dish to share.
