Saturday, February 15 the Barre Town Budget Committee will take its annual tour of town facilities.The public is invited and welcomed to join the Committee. Children with adults are welcomed-- they enjoy seeing all the many things town employees use. Come to the Municipal Building about 7:45 to get a tour booklet, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and something to eat. The tour starts at 8:00. Transportation is provided. The tour will drive by dozens of town properties and points of interest. Stops will be made at major facilities such as fire stations, EMS station, East Barre Library and the two DPW garages. Department heads will be at each facility to give a presentation and answer questions. Please come out and learn about your town's government operation. Call 479-9331 for more information.
