The City of Winooski Department of Recreation and Parks has partnered with Ondatra Adventures to provide and fun and educational naturalist walk through Casavant Park in Winooski! It doesn't take traveling to the far reaches of the wilderness to immerse oneself in the world of edible, medicinal, and useful plants. In fact, many plants that are considered 'weeds' are our most powerful and nutritional allies.
Join Dave Muska of Ondatra Adventures to learn about the many edible and medicinal plants that inhabit our forests, fields, cities, and backyards. Along the walk, Dave will share his knowledge and personal stories of plants, animals, and fungal species, why they are significant and their relationship to humankind.
