The NEK Supperclub - Dinner #2 - Freedom + Unity

Past event
Jul 26, 2018, 6 to 10 PM

FREE·DOM - THE POWER OR RIGHT TO ACT, SPEAK, OR THINK AS ONE WANTS WITHOUT HINDRANCE OR RESTRAINT.

U·NI·TY - THE STATE OF BEING UNITED OR JOINED AS A WHOLE.

Coined by Ira Allen in 1788 for the Vermont state seal, "freedom and unity", balances two seemingly opposite ideals: personal freedom and independence of the individual citizen, with the common good of the larger community. The tension that is sustained between these two poles is where community ferments, artists emerge, politics fracture and life unfolds...

The NEK Supperclub will be exploring the concept of freedom + unity with a 5 course tasting menu that will seek to interpret, exploit and deconstruct this delicious tension with an inspired sensory experience of food, art, song, discourse and community...

Limited to 25 guests. $100/person includes a signature cocktail, 5 courses of inspired cuisine, beer and wine with dinner and a full menu of thought-provoking, inspired exploration and conversation.
