Memorial Celebration of Jamie Cope's Life

Past event
Jun 24, 2018, 2 to 4 PM

Jamie Cope, beloved friend, icon, and inspiration to hundreds of people in Montpelier, died on April 18th at the age of 96.

There will be a memorial Celebration on Sunday, June 24th, starting at 2 p.m., based at the first (sledding hill) Shelter in Hubbard Park and on the beautiful grounds surrounding it. Anyone and everyone whom Jamie touched is deeply welcome. And I am hoping that many people will speak, spontaneously, of what Jamie meant to them. This will be informal, so please bring some food and a drink of your choice. If you have flowers in your garden, please do bring some in a vase or water jar for the tables; I can think of nothing she would love more. Let us honor her together by gathering in community - by talking/crying/laughing/eating/drinking/hugging/rolling down the hill/singing/dancing/just sitting down and enjoying the sun. Let's love her out loud, my friends. She loved us so well, for over thirty years.
