What is Your Vision for Wells River in the Next 5 Years?
The Wells River Village Trustees and the Wells River Action Program invite you to a community discussion on Monday June 11 at 4:00pm at the Wells River Congregational Church. Do you live or work in downtown Wells River? Do you shop, dine, use the library, or get your haircut, use the Laundromat or do your banking in Wells River? Do you walk, bike or drive in Wells River? If you do any of these activities then this discussion is for you.
Representatives from the Vermont Department of Transportation, VTrans Bicycle and Pedestrian Program and Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission will be on hand to answer questions and offer input as we discuss possible improvements to the downtown area of Wells River. How do we improve the streetscape? Do we need trees? Do we need more park benches? Do we need more, less or different signage?
Other questions to answer are: Is the village pedestrian and bike friendly? Is it friendly to folks with mobility challenges? What improvements are needed to the sidewalks and to the crosswalks? How do we make the village accessible to everyone? And how can the building facades be improved?
The Trustees and WRAP want to hear your suggestions, your ideas and your concerns. What is working and what isn't working? This discussion is open to everyone who uses Wells River in their day to day activities. You do not need to be a resident of Wells River to take part in this discussion.
