Do you think that affordable housing for our seniors in East Montpelier is important? Would you like to see Twin Valley Senior Center permanently housed in our rural Village setting? If your answer to either of these questions is YES, then the East Montpelier Senior Living Initiative needs your help.
The large project proposal for senior housing to be located in East Montpelier Village on the Old Laperle Farm Property has gained preliminary approval from the Old LaPerle Farm Property Committee. They will make a recommendation for the Selectboard to offer a letter of support that will enable EMSLI to actively move forward, seeking a developer, additional funding, and necessary permits.
We are also discussing other potential options and complimentary actions to fulfill our mission of supporting the development of Senior Housing in town.
If you have worked with us in the past, we urge you to come to our meeting next Tuesday June 12th at 7:00.
If you think supporting East Montpelier seniors who want to remain in town is important and you haven't yet attended a meeting, next Tuesday is your next best opportunity.
