No, we're not debuting any new trails. We're Grandly Opening the north side trails, releasing them from their cloak of winter debris. This will be a leisurely Saturday (May 26) hike with a purpose: to toss aside the fallen branches, clip back the face slappers, maybe even repaint the fading blazes.

Bring loppers if that's your thing, or just come for the hike and help haul debris. We'll have a chainsaw or two to deal with the big stuff. Some people might do the entire 3+ mile loop; others might do shorter loops.

Meet at 10:00am in the big parking lot on the north side of Route 9, west of the gift shop/restaurant complex. We'll call it a day by noon. Questions? Contact hmca@hogbackvt.org.
