On Wednesday May 16th, from 4-7 pm, the Burlington Police Department and Mayor Miro Weinberger, together with a variety of community partners, will host the 5th Annual BPD Community BBQ. Join us for festivities and food, provided by Bill Bissonette, KEI Cuisine, City Market, Ben & Jerry's and Hannaford, and enjoy music, demos, information booths, bouncy houses and kid-friendly fun!
We are excited to hold this year's BBQ at Pomeroy Park on North St. It is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with officers and staff, while enjoying spring, food and fun within the community. Come join us for this citywide event - all are welcome!
Event highlights:
● Food to include burgers, hot dogs, veggie options, sushi rolls, and Ben & Jerry's ice cream
● Music and entertainment by DJ Craig Mitchell
● Touch a Truck with emergency and other city vehicles, including the new BPD Emergency Response Vehicle!
● Equipment demonstrations
● Information booths from over 20 community partners
● Meet and greet with officers and staff from other City Departments and neighboring agencies
● K-9 Demonstration
● Parks and Recreation's Playmobile
● Champ, Rally, Face painting, and The Big Blue Trunk
● Bouncy houses and more!
Please note: Parking in the area will be impacted and traffic will be blocked on North St (from N. Union to N. Willard) and on Booth St.
