VHAT Hosts Open Barn Day in Middlesex – May 6, 2018

April 23, 2018, Middlesex (Vermont) — Once again, local non-profit Vermont Horse-Assisted Therapy, Inc. (VHAT) will host its annual Open Barn Day to celebrate spring and raise money and awareness for the organization's programs.

"We have hosted Open Barn Day annually since we opened our doors in 2008 " says VHAT Program Director Sarah Seidman. "100% of all proceeds from our event will go to support our scholarship fund which allows us to deliver services to local students from economically-disadvantaged families."

"The event is an all-volunteer effort to bring together students, members of the special needs community, our local neighbors, riders and non-riders alike for an afternoon of fun and learning," says Seidman. "We really just want people to come out, have some fun and see what we do at VHAT."

The event will take place at Pease Farm Stable in Middlesex on Sunday, May 6 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. This family-friendly fun day will feature pony rides (up to age 14), a grooming station, and lemonade and cookies. Please bring your returnable cans and bottles to help VHAT even more!
