Bicycle Commuting Workshop - Deborah Rawson Memorial Library - April 19

Past event
Apr 19, 2018, 7 to 8 PM

Join the Jericho Energy Task Force and Local Motion's expert workshop leader and daily bike commuter, Peter Burns, to get ready for a great year of riding your bike. Our bicycle commuting workshop will take place at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library in Jericho from 7 to 8 p.m. on April 19.

Participants in workshop will learn:

-What gear you need (and don't need) to stay safe and comfortable

-How to make sure your bike is in good shape for commuting

-How to map out a route that fits your available time and comfort level

-How to "read" the street and ride safely under a range of conditions

Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase significantly discounted safety gear like bike lights, reflective leg bands, bells, and more.

Light refreshments will be provided but this will be a waste-free event so we are asking people to bring their own bowls and mugs.
