Public Informational Meeting: Interstate 89 Exit 17 and Chimney Corners Interchange Reconstruction Project

Presented by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB)

SUMMARY AGENDA: The project includes replacement of the bridge over the Interstate 89, reconfiguration of interchange ramps, and improvements to the signalized intersections along US Route 2 and US Route 7 at Chimney Corners. A construction date for the project has not yet been identified, but it will not begin this year. The intent of the meeting is to briefly review the project details and to present the current project status. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period with an opportunity for those attending to present any concerns they might have. Additional public information meetings are being planned for Milton and the Champlain Islands. The meeting will be presented by VTrans and Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB), a consultant engineering firm based out of South Burlington working for VTrans to assist with conceptual design for the project. Representatives from both VTrans and VHB will be available at the meeting.
