Local pediatrician and author Jack Mayer will discuss the writing process and inspiration for his two books, "Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project" and "Before the Court of Heaven." "Life in a Jar" is creative nonfiction about the Warsaw ghetto. "Before the Court of Heaven" is historical fiction inspired by the history of how Germany's Weimar democracy became the Third Reich.
