SHHS April Program—Visit to theVermont History Museum, Montpelier—Fri, April 6th

The South Hero Historical Society plans to visit the Vermont Historical Society Museum at 109 State Street (next to the State House) in Montpelier on Friday, April 6th. We plan to carpool from the So. Hero Congregational Church @ 10:30 a.m. We will drive to the public parking lot behind the Capitol Plaza. We will eat in J. Morgan's Steakhouse @ 100 State St. It has an extensive luncheon menu of soups, salads, pizza, sandwiches, etc., ranging in price from $10 -$18. You may view the entire menu on their website, J Morgans Steakhouse. The plan is to go online to CourtneyCKing@jmorgans.com to email your luncheon selection at least two days before we go. It will be ready to serve to us when we arrive. If you are uncomfortable with doing this, call me, Peg Clark (802-372-3020), and I will do it for you. If you prefer, you may also eat at one of the small cafes on State St., such a Bagitos.

We will meet at the Museum @ 1:00 for a tour. It is less than a ten minute walk from the restaurant.

Please call Bev Blakely (802-372-3020) by March 30th or email her at skipnbev@globalnetisp.net to let her know if you wish to attend, if you wish to carpool, and if you will be having lunch at Morgan's. We will ask each person to contribute $5 to the driver of your carpool car. If you wish to skip the lunch and arrive at l:00 p.m. at the museum, this is fine also. Please let us know what your plans are. Everyone is welcome regardless of membership. Hope to see you there!
