Past event

• Writing Micro Memoirs: Flash Non-Fiction with Michelle Demers, six Thursdays, beginning Jan. 23, 6:30-8pm, 6:30-8pm, $150
Many have heard of flash fiction, but this short form also works well for memoir and nonfiction. Writing short-short pieces (200 - 700 words) can give you a laser focus on the most important aspects of your story and highlight key people, places, and events. Whether you’re just thinking about memoir or are already working on one, working at the micro-level can open up new approaches. Discover how short intense bursts of writing can illuminate the larger truths of our lives.
Michelle holds two master’s degrees in writing – an MFA in poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in Professional Writing. She has taught at Saint Michael’s College and currently teaches writing through CCV, Vermont Technical College, and CVU ACCESS.
