Who Goes There? Wildlife Tracking Workshop with Ed Sharron of the National Park Service

Who’s walking in the woods? Join the Shrewsbury Conservation Commission and the Vermont Woodlands Association on this 3-hour workshop, Saturday, March 10th, from 10am-1pm. Learn the tracks and signs of many common Vermont mammals that you may find in the Shrewsbury area from Ed Sharron, a National Park Service Science Communication Specialist based in Woodstock. We may spot tracks of fisher, red fox, bobcat, and many more possible surprise guest as we trek across old wood roads up to the Pinnacle.
We will begin the workshop with an indoor discussion, and then head outdoors to put your new skills to the test. All ages are welcome! Please dress appropriately for the weather, and water, snacks, and snowshoes, footwear traction, or trekking poles. If you need snowshoes, let us know so we can help you source some.

The Shrewsbury Meeting House is located at 88 Lottery Road in Shrewsbury, VT. The event will only be cancelled or postponed in the case of bad weather.
Since 1999, Ed Sharron has worked as a park ranger in several of our country's beautiful national parks, including Glacier NP, Voyageurs NP, and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP. Ed has been leading wildlife tracking programs for schools, workshops, and the National Park Service for more than 10 years.
