“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Monday, Jan. 20, is an ideal opportunity for all of us to think about how we might better serve our communities, whether it’s by lending a hand to a neighbor on a Saturday afternoon or by volunteering our time on a regular basis.

Windsor County Partners (WCP), our regional mentoring organization, offers plenty of opportunities for local men and women to give back. I am proud to serve on the board of WCP and hope that you, my neighbors, will consider volunteering with us. There are dozens of young people waiting for a mentor as part of our PALS program, which matches adult mentors with youth ages 8 to 18 for two hours of bonding each week. In addition to mentoring, volunteers and donations are always in demand as we work to fill a growing need to help young people in our area realize their potential as healthy, responsible decision-makers.

For more information about Windsor County Partners, including charitable donations, visit www.windsorcountypartners.org, email info@wcpartners.org or call 802.674.5101.

Thank you. :-)
Maryellen
