Interested in protecting and promoting trees in Winooski? The Winooski Tree Advisory Committee is meeting on March 5th from 7 to 9pm at the O'Brien Community Center to plan some great activities for the coming year, including an Arbor Day Celebration on May 4th and an assessment of the health of Winooski's public trees this summer.
The Winooski Tree Advisory Committee is an ad-hoc group of interested residents who care about promoting a vibrant and healthy urban forest in our city. We provide recommendations to the Public Works Commission about planting trees, caring for trees and promoting proactive tree management in the city. There are a wealth of ways to get involved, so we hope you'll join us at the meeting to learn more!
We realize this has been scheduled the same night as the meeting about the City and school budget, if you can't attend but still want to get involved, please get in touch by e-mailing winooskitrees@gmail.com.
