Beginning (or “Refreshing”) Mah Jongg Classes:

Mah Jongg for Fun and Flexibility 4 Weds. March 7 - March 28 (6:00 – 8:30) CVU H.S., Hinesburg, VT (off Rt. 116.)

In this American version of Mah Jongg, players pick up, discard and trade tiles to make a winning 14-tile hand. We start with easy hands and, in weeks 2 to 4, gradually add complexity and learn about defensive play which involves sleuthing (what are your opponents up to?), bluffing, flexibility and patience. If you enjoy playing cards, you’ll probably love Mah Jongg. Great for ages 8 and up, beginners and “refreshers.” Fee: $45.
