Wind: A Struggle for the Character of Vermont will screen at Bristol Cliffs Cafe, 16 Main Street. The film explores the polarization that has happened all over the state in response to large-scale wind energy projects. Viewers are offered a fast-paced education on the complexity of challenges Vermont encounters on its path toward a clean energy future and raises questions on how we can move forward in a way that fosters community rather than divides us. The film maker, Mark Cline Lacey from Vermont Commons School, will join us for a discussion afterward.
The screening is timely for: 1. Getting out the vote for the Town Meeting Day Resolution that relates to Vermont’s renewable energy goals, and 2. Considering the choice Bristol has to construct a natural gas pipeline. This is an opportunity for education and building our community’s openness for different views and working together, thus all benefitting from the wider wisdom available when making big decisions.
