Past event
Feb 3, 2018, 1 to 4 PM

Sounds like a great workshop coming up soon in Bennington, sponsored by the Vermont Woodlands Association. Here's the scoop:

Who's been walking in these woods? Animals! Join the One World Conservation Center and the Vermont Woodlands Association on this 3-hour workshop, Saturday, February 3rd from 1-4pm. RSVP Required. $5 per person.

Learn the tracks and signs of many common Vermont mammals that you may find in the Bennington area and at the Greenberg Reserve at the One World Conservation Center (OWCC) from Ed Sharron, a National Park Service Science Communication Specialist based in Woodstock. We may spot tracks of fisher, red fox, bobcat, and many more!

We will begin the workshop with an indoor discussion, and then head outdoors to put your new skills to the test. All ages are welcome! Please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water, snacks, and snowshoes, footwear traction, or trekking poles. If you need snowshoes, let us know so we can help you source some.

Registration required as space is limited. The workshop is $5.00 payable at the door. Foresters will be eligible for 1 CFE Credit. To register or for more information, visit oneworldconservationcenter.org. The One World Conservation Center is located at 413 US Route 7 South, Bennington, Vermont before the Apple Barn if you are coming from Downtown Bennington. The event will only be cancelled in the case of bad weather. This workshop is co-sponsored by the Vermont Woodlands Association and the One World Conservation Center.
