Library Director, Christina Becker and Village of Cambridge Mayor, Carman Bogle have partnered on a year-long program through New York Library Association’s Sustainability Initiative known as the Community Change Agent Program. A major component of this program relies on gathering feedback from our community. In order to do this we are conducting a number of individual and group discussions with community members within the Cambridge District. This includes residents in the Town of Cambridge, White Creek, and Jackson as well as the Village of Cambridge. Each discussion is a chance for us to better understand people’s aspirations for their community, the concerns they have and what they believe might make a difference in strengthening the community. We’ll take what we learn from these conversations and use it to help make our work in the community more effective. Our next group discussion will be held at the Cambridge Public Library on January 31st at 7:00 p.m. For more information on the Community Change Agent program or to reserve a seat at the Community Aspirations meeting please contact Christina Becker by calling 518-677-2443 or via email at cbecker@sals.edu. Refreshments will be available and space is limited. Another date will be added if there is enough interest in participation.
