If you are eager for hiking season, please considering attending the Bennington Appalachian Trail (A.T) Community's Public Meeting this Wednesday, February 26 at 6 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library (101 Silver Street, Bennington). We will be meeting in the upstairs community room.

The Bennington A.T. Community is a volunteer group supported by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and is dedicated to supporting hikers and promoting outdoor recreation in Bennington. Since becoming an official Appalachian Trail Community™ in 2021, we've hosted Trail Fest each July to celebrate outdoor activities and provide support to thru-hikers. This meeting will focus on improving local resources for hikers, recruiting new volunteers, preparing for Trail Fest, and offering opportunities for spring trail stewardship with the Green Mountain Club.
