Families with young children and/or expecting new babies are invited to a FAMILY SOCIAL GET-TOGETHER with coffee and tea at the Woodbury Community Library, Saturday, January 6th, at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
Beginning Wednesday, January 17, at 6:30 p.m., in celebration of Martin Luther King Day, the Woodbury Community Library hosts an informal adult winter reading discussion group, beginning with the 2017 Vermont Reads book, BROWN GIRL DREAMING. Free copies are available at the library. A beautifully written memoir about growing up in South Carolina and New York in the 1960s and 1970s, the book offers plenty for readers to discuss — both about Woodson's book and their own lives. Attendees will chose the next date and reading material — reasonable in length. Please contact the library if you're interested in joining a winter reading series but are unable to attend in January. Spirited conversation and refreshments guaranteed.
The Woodbury Community Library is located behind the Woodbury Elementary School, in Woodbury Village, off Route 14.
Info? woodburyvermontlibrary@gmail.com or 472-5710. Library hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-5 pm, and Saturdays, 10 am-noon.
