Christmas in Cambridge Weekend December 1st - 3rd.
Mr. & Mrs. Claus arrive at 6:00pm on Friday night with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Memorial Park. There will be glow necklaces, caroling, extended shopping hours and sales in many locations. Stroll the village and enjoy the shops, the fire pits and the spirit of the season. Eggnog, cookies and treats will be provided in shops. The Mystery of Edwin Drood will be performed at Hubbard Hall, Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday 2pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday at at 2pm. Saturday December 2 has a very full day of events. There will be the Christmas Goodies Holiday Bazaar at the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church. Many shops will be offering special sales and extended hours for the holiday season. Christmas in Cambridge Craft Fair (sponsored by the Cambridge Faculty Association) will be held on Saturday from 10:00-4:00 at Cambridge Central School. The craft fair is a fund raiser for Operation Santa Claus. Artists Matt Chinian and George Van Hook are holding Open Studios 10-5pm Saturday and Sunday. Visit Battenkill Books at 4pm for an Author Event: God Needed a Puppy with John Gray. Join us for a very special event as we welcome WTEN's John Gray for a book signing of God Needed a Puppy.
Sunday December 3 celebrates the holidays with the lighting of the Eternal Illumination Memorial trees at 5:30 pm. Please contact the Cambridge Lions Club if you would like to purchase a tree. During the day visit the Cambridge Valley Farmer’s Market from 10-2 in the Lovejoy building on the Hubbard Hall Campus.
