OLD-TIME NEW YEAR GALA AND CAJUN DANCE

Past event
Dec 29, 2013, 8 PM

On SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29, on the third floor of the WILLEY BUILDING (TOWN HALL) Cabot Arts will present an afternoon of Old-Time music and hot'n'spicy Cajun dancing to give you a two-stepping head start on New Year festivities. Cabot's own Katie Trautz, fiddler extraordinaire, who has recently added the musical heritage of Louisiana to her old-time repertoire, will be joined by Shady Rill, the duet of Patti Casey, Vermont's premier singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Mackenzie, along with Lee Blackwell, Alec Ellsworth and Jay Ekis. The good times roll at 3:00 PM and go on until everyone gets tired. Bring your kids, visiting relatives, dancing shoes. There will be refreshments, and you're invited to bring something of your own to share. Admission will be at the door, by donation, with all proceeds going to the artists.
