PIERSON LIBRARY AND CHITTENDEN COUNTY OPERA LOVERS will present a screening of The Exterminating Angel, a film by Luis Buñuel, at 4:00 PM on November 16 at Shelburne Town Hall with a talk and discussion in preparation for the new Metropolitan Opera production by Thomas Ades. The discussion, led by Shelburne resident Toni Hill, will cover the values reflected in the plot and the challenges arising when cinema is converted to opera. The opera will appear in theaters starting on November 18, simulcast in HD.
