A last minute reminder that tomorrow's (Wednesday's) NPA Meeting will be held in the McClure Lobby Conference Room at UVM Medical Center, starting at 7.00 p.m., close at 9.00 p.m..
We'll hear the latest on the "Burlington Telecom" sale from our City Councillors.
There'll be an update of The Neighborhood Project, that part of the City's Housing Action Plan which addresses policies and programs for neighborhood stabilization in near-campus neighborhoods - which obviously includes so much of Wards 1 & 8. Consultants walked our neighborhood streets with local residents to better inform this initiative; see what they came up with and offer your perspectives.
And: We'll be trying something different, an Open Discussion intended to brainstorm ideas to best achieve an optimum balance between financial and community success as parts of the City's fabric are up for sale or otherwise transferred.
Contributions to City-wide debates by Ward 1 & 8 residents have been inspiring, so how are these qualities and experiences harnessed without being seen by the City as unproductively adversarial? Tell us what you think, any changes to process and engagement the City should adopt.
On-site parking is available in the McClure Garage, free of charge, thanks as always to UVM Medical Center.
I hope you can join us.
