Join the Friends of the Stowe Free Library on November 16, 2017 at 7pm in the Community Room at the Stowe Free Library when Bill Schubart discusses his new book Lila & Theron and the changes in the rural culture in Vermont. Lila & Theron is a simple love story about a Vermont couple living a hardscrabble life in which gratitude, hard work and love is everything - raising difficult questions about the nature of today's poverty, homelessness, addiction and consumerist culture.
Bill was born in New York but was raised in Vermont. He attended the Morrisville Public Schools, Phillips Exeter Academy, Kenyon College and the University of Vermont. He currently lives in Hinesburg with his family. Bill is known for his Vermont fiction, humor and opinion pieces. He is the author of The Lamoille Stories, Fat People, Panhead, I am Baybie, Photographic Memory and The Lamoille Stories II. He is a regular commentator on Vermont Public Radio.
